• I am born and brought up in the city of Calcutta (now Kolkata), West Bengal, India. I am proud of my hereditary ties with Lalbag, Berhampore and Barahatti of District Murshidabad, WB and Katwa, of District Purba Bardhaman, WB.

• I enjoy Photography, Travelling and Trekking.

• I love listening to Hinduststhani Classical Music especially Sitar Maestros Ustad Vilayat Khan and Pandit Ravi Shankar.

• I used to be a voracious reader. I grew up reading a lot of Bengali novels and poems by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhayay, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhayay, Rabindranath Tagore, Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay, Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, Tarasankar Bandyopadhyay, Mahasweta Devi, Shakti Chattopadhyay, Satyajit Ray, Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, Buddhadeb Guha and etc. Recently, I have been reading some Haruki Murakami, Kazuo Ishiguro, Mark Twain,Leo Tolstoy, Edgar Allan Poe, Ernest Hemingway and Charles Dickens.

• I am trying to pick up an instrument for a long time!
